Alex Autieri Charged with Drug Possession

Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. GREWAL announced the arrest of ALEX AUTIERI of 583 Green Valley Road, Paramus, New Jersey on drug possession charges. This arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by members of the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office Narcotic Task Force, under the direction of Chief Carmen MARTINO, the Dumont Police Department, under the direction of Chief Joseph L. FAULBORN, the Paramus Police Department, under the direction of Chief Kenneth EHRENBERG, the Tenafly Police Department, under the direction of Chief Robert CHAMBERLAIN, and the Bergen County Sheriff’s Department, under the direction of Sheriff Michael SAUDINO.

Pursuant to a police investigation, it was determined that Alex AUTIERI was involved in the distribution of controlled dangerous substances.

On Thursday, February 11, 2016, a search warrant was executed at Mr. AUTIERI’s residence located at 583 Green Valley Road, Paramus, New Jersey.

As a result of searching Mr. AUTIERI’s residence, police personnel located and seized approximately six and one-half (6 1/2) pounds of marijuana, approximately two hundred (200) grams of cocaine, various steroids, as well as drug paraphernalia including cutting agents and packaging materials.

Police personnel also seized thirteen thousand nine hundred eighty dollars ($13,980.00) in U.S. Currency. The estimated street value of the controlled dangerous substances seized on this date is approximately thirty five thousand dollars ($35,000.00).

Alex AUTIERI was charged with one (1) count of Possession with the Intent to Distribute a Controlled Dangerous Substance, namely Cocaine, a first degree crime; and one (1) count of Possession with the Intent to Distribute a Controlled Dangerous Substance, namely Marijuana, a second degree crime.

Bail for Mr. AUTIERI was set by the Honorable Judge Louis J. Dinice, J.M.C., at $100,000.00 with no ten percent (10%) cash option.  Mr. AUTIERI was remanded to the Bergen County Jail in lieu of bail.

Acting Prosecutor Grewal states that these charges are merely accusations and that the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt and would also like to thank the Dumont Police Department, the Paramus Police Department, the Tenafly Police Department, and the Bergen County Sheriff’s Department for their assistance in this investigation.
