MacArthur Welcomes Art Competition Winner Simon Beier of Lenape Home School in Brick

Washington, DC – Congressman Tom MacArthur today welcomed Simon Beier of Lenape Home School in Brick, to the U.S. Capitol for the annual Congressional Art Competition Winners Reception. Simon Beier is a high school senior at Lenape Home School in Brick, New Jersey.

Beier has lived on the creek for the last twenty years and has enjoyed seeing the diverse wildlife – “On a sunny day in September of last year, I took a picture of a blue heron searching for dinner in our ‘backyard,’ and I decided the heron would make a perfect painting,” said Simon Beier.

"Congratulations to Simon Beier for winning this year's Congressional Art Competition in New Jersey’s Third Congressional District," said Congressman MacArthur.

“Simon’s work is a wonderful showcase of the talent and creativity in South Jersey. As Members of Congress and visitors walk to the Capitol in DC, Simon’s work will surely be the best one showcased.”
