Oscar Munoz of Hackensack Charged With Sex Assault and Child Endangerment

Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal announced the arrest of OSCAR G. MUNOZ of 114 Sussex Street, Apt. 3A, Hackensack, New Jersey, on charges of 2nd degree Sexual Assault by Sexual Contact and 3rd degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child. The arrest is the result of joint investigation conducted by members of the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office Special Victims Unit under the direction of Chief Carmen MARTINO and the Hackensack Police Department under the direction of Police Director Michael MORDAGA.

On Tuesday, March 1, 2016 the Hackensack Police Department learned that a juvenile female alleged to have been touched on an intimate part of her body by Oscar G. MUNOZ during the summer of 2015 while in Hackensack, New Jersey.

The Hackensack Police Department notified the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and a joint investigation ensued. As a result of the investigation and interviews, Oscar G. MUNOZ was arrested and charged with one (1) count of Sexual Assault by Sexual Contact and one (1) count of Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

The Honorable Lisa Furko, J.S.C. of the Bergen County Superior Court set bail at $150,000.00 with no ten (10) percent option. Oscar G. MUNOZ is to have no contact with the victim and must surrender his passport, as conditions of his bail.

Mr. MUNOZ was remanded to the Bergen County Jail in lieu of bail.

Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Grewal states that these charges are merely accusations and that the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt and wishes to thank the Hackensack Police Department for their assistance.
