Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal announced the arrest of BRIAN A. OWENS (DOB: 4/20/1962) of 410 Route 46, Room #220, South Hackensack, New Jersey on a drug possession charge. This arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by members of the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office Narcotics Task Force, under the direction of Chief Carmen MARTINO, and the South Hackensack Police Department, under the direction of Chief Joseph TERRACCINO.

Brian A. OWENS was being investigated for his involvement with controlled dangerous substances at a motel room he was residing at in South Hackensack, New Jersey.

On Wednesday, April 27, 2016, a search warrant was executed at Mr. OWENS’ residence. As a result of this search, law enforcement personnel located and seized twenty seven (27) decks of suspected heroin.

Brian A. OWENS was charged by Complaint Summons with one (1) count of Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, specifically Heroin, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-10A(1), a crime of the third degree.

Acting Prosecutor Grewal states that this charge is merely an accusation and that the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, and would also like to thank the South Hackensack Police Department for their assistance in this investigation.
