Dr. Archer Irby of Leonia Charged With Criminal Sexual Contact and Lewdness

Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal announced the arrest of DR. ARCHER IRBY (DOB: 10/15/1970; single; and formerly employed as a chiropractor) of 213 Warwick Lane, Leonia, New Jersey on charges of Criminal Sexual Contact and Lewdness. The arrest is the result of a joint investigation conducted by members of the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office under the direction of Officer-in-Charge, Deputy Chief Robert ANZILOTTI, and the Englewood Police Department Police Department under the direction of Chief Lawrence SUFFERN.

As previously reported to the press, on July 30, 2016, Dr. Archer IRBY, a chiropractor at Irby Spine Care located at 115 Grand Avenue, Englewood, New Jersey was arrested on charges of Criminal Sexual Contact, Attempted Criminal Sexual Contact and Lewdness. The allegations were made by several of his female patients.

A continuing investigation by members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victim’s Unit and Englewood Police Department revealed an additional victim.

As a result of the investigation, Archer L. IRBY was arrested on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 in Englewood, New Jersey and charged with two counts of Criminal Sexual Contact, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:14-3b, a 4th degree crime, and one count of Lewdness, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:14-4a, a disorderly persons offense.

Both offenses are alleged to have occurred in or around April 2012. The Honorable Lesley ADAMS, J.M.C. of Bergen County set bail at $2,500.00 with no ten percent option.

As conditions of bail, IRBY is to have no contact with the victim.

IRBY is scheduled to appear in Bergen County Central Judicial Processing Court for a first appearance on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at 8:30 a.m.

Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Grewal states that these charges are merely accusations and that the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt and would also like to thank the Englewood Police Department for their assistance in this investigation.
