Dustin Schwarz of Paramus Charged With Drug Possession with Intent to Distribute
Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal announced the arrest of DUSTIN SCHWARZ (DOB: 5/26/1992) of 275 E. Midland Avenue, Paramus, New Jersey on drug possession charges. This arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by members of the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office Narcotic Task Force under the direction of Chief Carmen MARTINO, the Bergen County Sheriff’s Department K9 Unit under the direction of Sheriff Michael SAUDINO, and the Paramus Police Department under the direction of Chief Kenneth EHRENBERG.
Pursuant to this investigation, it was determined that Dustin SCHWARZ was involved in the distribution of controlled dangerous substances in the area of Paramus, New Jersey.
On Monday, May 9, 2016, as a result of searching this location, police personnel located and seized over one (1) pound of marijuana, suspected steroids, and drug paraphernalia consistent with the packaging and distribution of controlled dangerous substances.
The approximate street value of the controlled dangerous substances seized on this date is $3,500.00.
Dustin SCHWARZ was charged with one (1) count of Possession with the Intent to Distribute a Controlled Dangerous Substance, namely Marijuana, in a Quantity Greater than One (1) Ounce but Less than Five (5) Pounds, a third degree crime; and one (1) count of Possession with the Intent to Distribute a Controlled Dangerous Substance, namely Marijuana within One Thousand (1,000) Feet of the Palisades Learning Center, a third degree crime.
Acting Prosecutor Grewal states that these charges are merely accusations and that the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt and would like to thank the Bergen County Sheriff’s Department and the Paramus Police Department for their assistance in this investigation.
