Dwight Morrow High School Students of Dance Hold Dance Concert/Fundraiser
On Wednesday, May 4, the dance students from Dwight Morrow High School’s Academies@ Englewood and Comprehensive Programs will be featured in a fundraiser Dance Concert. Held in the school’s Dizzy Gillespie Auditorium, the concert will showcase various dance genres including Hip Hop, Afro-Caribbean, Dance Hall, Contemporary, Jazz, Latin, Jive, and Indian.
A colorful and creative flyer for the event (right) was created by student Naomi Lewis (a junior in the Comprehensive Program).
The option to perform was presented to students who were enrolled in dance class. Performing is not a requirement, but rather a choice of each individual student.
The students have been working hard throughout the year on developing their technique, expression and creativity. Tickets are $5 for adults and $2 for students. They can be purchased at the door on the night of the show.
