Yair Paz-Pineda of Cresskill Arrested On Drug Charge

Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal announced the arrest of YAIR PAZ-PINEDA (DOB: 12/27/1984) of 54 Broadway, Cresskill, New Jersey on a drug charge. This arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by members of the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office Narcotic Task Force under the direction of Chief Carmen MARTINO, the Bergen County Sheriff’s Department K9 Unit under the direction of Sheriff Michael SAUDINO, the Dumont Police Department under the direction of Chief Joseph L. FAULBORN Jr., the Cresskill Police Department under the direction of Chief Edward J. WRIXON, and the Tenafly Police Department under the direction of Chief Robert CHAMBERLAIN.

Pursuant to this investigation, it was determined that Yair PAZ-PINEDA was involved in the distribution of controlled dangerous substances in the area of Cresskill, New Jersey.

On Monday, May 2, 2016, police personnel executed a search warrant at Mr. PAZ-PINEDA’s residence. As a result of searching this location, police personnel located and seized suspected cocaine and drug paraphernalia consistent with the distribution of controlled dangerous substances.

Yair PAZ-PINEDA was charged with one (1) count of Possession with the Intent to Distribute a Controlled Dangerous Substance, namely Cocaine, in a Quantity Less than One-Half (1/2) Ounce, a third degree crime.

Acting Prosecutor Grewal states that this charge is merely an accusation and that the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt and would also like to thank the Bergen County Sheriff’s Department, the Cresskill Police Department, the Tenafly Police Department, and the Dumont Police Department for their assistance in this investigation.
