The Community Chest Announces 2017 Request for Proposal

(Englewood, New Jersey) -- The Community Chest (The Chest) is releasing its 2017 Request for Proposals (RFP) for Annual Grants and invites eligible nonprofit organizations to apply. The deadline to submit an application is March 3, 2017. With the motto "Neighbors Helping Neighbors" motto, The Chest's mission is to lead initiatives and support nonprofits that make communities stronger and benefit the people of eastern Bergen County in New Jersey.

Pascrell Responds to Chairman who Refuses to Request Trump Taxes

Payne, Jr. Presents Carolyn Thompson-Wallace of Newark with Legacy Achievement Award

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, at The Corps Network’s 2017 awards breakfast in Washington, D.C., Congressman Donald M. Payne, Jr. (NJ-10) presented the Legacy Achievement Award to Carolyn Thompson-Wallace, co-founder of the International Youth Organization in Newark. IYO is the parent organization of New Jersey Youth Corps of Newark and Essex County.

Marc Stephens Wins Case Proving Citizens Do Not Have to Pay Income Taxes

Today, Marc Stephens posted a video on his website located at www.marcastephens.com showing evidence that he challenged the State of California Franchise Tax Board, Los Angeles County Recorders, Alameda County Recorders, and all three credit reporting agencies which includes, Transunion, Experian, and Equifax stating that according to the United States Constitution he is not obligated to pay taxes. Marc won the case, and all three credit bureaus were obligated to remove the information from his credit report.

Supreme Court Justices Set to Hold Closed Conference Regarding 2nd Amendment Case 'Stephens vs Jerejian'

On January 10, 2017, in the case no. 16-7165 titled Stephens vs Jerejian, et al, the Attorney General of New Jersey, Adam Gibbons, filed a waiver stating that he will not file a response to Plaintiff Marc Stephens’ Petition for Writ of Certiorari. Stephens is seeking to strike down New Jersey’s Firearm law as facially unconstitutional, and in violation of the Second and Fourteenth Amendment of the United States Constitution.

Northern NJ Community Foundation Helping Underresourced Bergen County Residents With Oral Health

(Englewood, New Jersey; January 13, 2016) -- The Northern New Jersey Community Foundation's (NNJCF) Community Engagement Program is collecting dental products for Bergen County's underresourced residents. During January, the program is partnering with Bergen Volunteer Medical Initiative (BVMI), a nonprofit based in Hackensack, New Jersey providing healthcare to uninsured residents, to collect and provide dental products to underresourced residents in the county.
