Highmark Inc., Allegheny Health Network help Team USA athletes stay healthy as they strive for gold at the Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games

PITTSBURGH – For more than a decade, Highmark has played a valuable role in helping some of our country’s greatest athletes stay healthy as well as return to competition as quickly as possible. The importance of Highmark’s role is highlighted this year with Highmark Inc. serving as the Official Health Insurance Supplier of Team USA during the Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games, kicking off Aug. 5 and Sept. 7 respectively, and Allegheny Health Network acting as one of only six designated Official U.S. Olympic Regional Medical Centers across the country.

Elle Duncan Joins ESPN as SportsCenter Anchor

Television sports veteran Elle Duncan has joined ESPN as an anchor for SportsCenter, the network’s signature news and information program. She will begin work on May 9.  For the past two years, Duncan has been an anchor, host and reporter for the New England Sports Network (NESN) in Boston, most recently hosting the daily NESN Live and NESN Sports Today programs.

First Lady Joins Team USA to Announce Nationwide Commitments to Get Nearly Two Million Kids Active This Year

Today, First Lady Michelle Obama joined U.S. Olympians, Paralympians, and Rio hopefuls at the US Olympic Committee’s 100 Day Countdown event in Times Square to announce nationwide commitments to get nearly two million American children active as part of her Let’s Move! initiative. Mrs. Obama is working to turn the inspiration of the Olympic and Paralympic Games into action by getting more kids healthy and active.
