The Elisabeth Morrow School Names Dr. Judith Fox Interim Head Of School

(Englewood, New Jersey – March 20, 2018) The Elisabeth Morrow School in Englewood has announced that Judith Fox, Ed.D, will become the Interim Head of School for the 2018-2019 school year. Selected by a unanimous board vote, Dr. Fox will begin working at EMS on July 1.

ENGLEWOOD, NJ – Earlier today, Dierdre Paul, a 25-year resident of Englewood, candidate for the Englewood Board of Education School Board, and a full professor of education at Montclair State University, called for the Englewood Public School District Board of Education to abide by the New Jersey Open Public Records Act (OPRA).

Dwight Morrow High School Team Places First in "Children's Stories" Event at State Conference

On Saturday, April 17th, 14 students in the Dwight Morrow High School Comprehensive and the PreEngineering, Information Systems, and BioMedicine Academy programs traveled to the Technology Student Association's New Jersey State Conference to compete in an all-day event for high school students.

Payne, Jr. Announces $2.3 Million Federal Grant for Montclair Child Development Center

Congressman Donald M. Payne, Jr. (NJ-10) announced a $2.3 million grant to the Montclair Child Development Center Inc. (MCDC). The Head Start and Early Head Start grant will support MCDC’s work to provide comprehensive childhood development services to predominantly low-income children and families. The Head Start and Early Head Start program is administered by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

Dwight Morrow High School Students of Dance Hold Dance Concert/Fundraiser

On Wednesday, May 4, the dance students from Dwight Morrow High School’s Academies@ Englewood and Comprehensive Programs will be featured in a fundraiser Dance Concert. Held in the school’s Dizzy Gillespie Auditorium, the concert will showcase various dance genres including Hip Hop, Afro-Caribbean, Dance Hall, Contemporary, Jazz, Latin, Jive, and Indian.

Grieco Elementary School Celebrates Art of Science

On Wednesday, April 20, the Dr. John Grieco Elementary School hosted a reception for its annual Art of Science Exhibition. Approximately 250 parents, family and students from 1 st to 3 rd grade gathered in the school Media Center to celebrate the artistic and scientific talents of its students.

The Art of Science exhibition incorporates a Science Fair featuring the science experiments of Grieco’s 3rd grade students. It also includes artwork, which is mostly focused on nature subjects, created by 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade students.
